WHO WE ARE

Established in 1975, G. R. MODI & Co. is a professionally-managed firm of Chartered Accountants. Promoted by Mr. G. R. Modi and handed down meticulously through the generations, the company today is a name to reckon with in the Auditing and Taxation service industry. Led by a visionary management, it has expanded over the years and restructured as a partnership firm with three partners. The scope of services includes statutory audits, tax audits, internal and system audits, etc.

MODI CONSULTANCY, formed in 2001 is a one-stop management and services organization providing a whole gamut of professional Finance and Corporate Consultancy services. The scope of services includes business and management advisory services, financial services, fund syndication, etc.

Both firms are headed by the founder partner Mr. G. R. Modi, who has about 43 years of experience in the field of audits, taxation, business consultancy, etc.

Providing services to more than 300 clients, the firm caters to the need of various business organizations in diverse industries, which has resulted in the group gaining vast experience of Indian business environment. The firm’s collective pool of experience and ideas has helped its clients implement their business ideas effectively.

GOVARDHAN R MODI

B. Com, FCA

He is the founder and senior most partner of the firm. He has been in practice for over 43 years. He has vast experience in the field of statutory and tax audits, taxation and company law matters. During the tenure of his professional practice he has developed a permanent client base of more than 100 audit clients including banks, public listed companies, private corporates, partnership firms, etc. and about 500 Income Tax Files. He also represents in Tribunals for Income Tax appeals. He has contributed to the profession by active participation in the CA institute. He has been the past President of "Malad Chambers of Tax Consultants" which has more than 800 professional members. He has also been involved in other social engagements like holding Presidency of Lions Club of Shantiniketan and active participation in Agarwal Samaj programmes.

SWAPNIL MODI

B. Com, FCA, CISA

He has more than 18 years of professional experience and specializes in management and business consultancy activities including fund syndication. He has substantial experience in syndicating project finance and working capital finance, external commercial borrowings, business consultancy related to financial restructuring, feasibility studies, double taxation treaties, due diligence audits, fraud detection, internal and system audits etc. He has been in charge of system requirements studies for development of banking software used to monitor bank facilities. Besides, being a 19th Rank holder in CA foundation, he has passed CA in the first attempt. He has passed CISA exam in 2001 with a third ranking in India.
